XR4ALL is an initiative by the European Commission to strengthen the European XR industry.

XR for collaboration, conferences, online learning and remote working

– What is XR?
XR is often referred to as “extended reality” – includes virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and similar means of immersion.

THE CONFERENCE LINK WILL BE COMMUNICATED LATER VIA E-MAIL AFTER REGISTRATION.

– What are the issues at stake?
After years of research & development, XR technology has reached a tipping point where it becomes accessible to small businesses and consumers, thereby warranting market introduction. With over $4 billion in worldwide investments to date, the industry is set for a bright future but further financing is key for its success, especially in the European Union (EU).

– What are the objectives?
By 2020, in Europe, the total production value of the XR industry should reach €15-34 billion, and the number of direct and indirect jobs 225,000-480,000. However, the European XR scene is relatively less known, quite fragmented, and faced with strong outside competition, especially from Asia and the USA.

About this Event
Founded in 2016, SSVAR (https://ssvar.ch) is a business network based in Switzerland and dedicated to fill the gap between the public and professionals in the field of virtual, augmented and mixed reality industries.

THE QUESTION
How can immersive and augmented technology help us better connect with one another?

THE ANSWERS
We have gathered XR industry professionals to collate and share the resources needed to help more people take advantage of XR collaboration tools.

THE CONCLUSION
“XR offers a bridge between the traditional telephone call and face-to-face interactions, allowing people to feel like they’re in the same place when it’s logistically impossible.”
