Basingstoke IVC Science enthusiasts invite you to another of the University of East Anglia (UEA) London Lectures in Autumn 2020. Tonights lecture is “COVID-19: Losing your sense of smell” given by Prof Carl Philpott (Norwich Medical School).
Prominent UEA academics will discuss their research and its impact in their series of new online London Lectures.
PRIOR BOOKING IS REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT
Each lecture will be streamed live via their online platform. Watch from the comfort of your own home, then join the Q&A to pose your questions to our leading scientists.
Prof Carl Philpott has been collaborating with colleagues internationally about the impact of COVID-19 on smell and taste. His research found that loss of smell associated with COVID-19 is much more profound than that of a cold or flu, and may affect true taste as well. Prof Philpott has also been instrumental in highlighting that many people may experience smell loss in isolation or before other symptoms of COVID-19.
